Community Guidelines
Version 1.0.0
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
Last Updated: October 5, 2026
1. Our Community Values
Storefront Live is built on a foundation of respect, trust, and professionalism. These guidelines apply to all users—Buyers, Sellers, Hosts, and Moderators.
Our community thrives when members:
- Treat others with respect – Every interaction matters
- Communicate thoughtfully – Consider impact before speaking
- Support each other – Help create a positive environment
- Act with integrity – Represent yourself, your Store, and your items honestly
2. Respectful Communication
Storefront Live has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
All communication on Storefront Live — in Shows, in messages, and in reviews — must be respectful, professional, and appropriate for all audiences. The following standards apply across the Platform.
2.1 Harassment and Hate
Do not harass, threaten, abuse, or bully other users. Hate speech and discriminatory language — including content that targets others based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics — is prohibited.
2.2 Spam and Unsolicited Contact
Do not spam or flood chat, send repetitive or unsolicited promotional messages (including mass-messaging your Show link to other users), or otherwise disrupt Shows and conversations. Keep in-Show chat relevant and follow Moderator instructions.
2.3 Off-Platform Solicitation and Contact Information
Do not solicit or arrange transactions outside the Platform, and do not request or share personal contact information — such as phone numbers, email addresses, or social media handles — to move dealings off-platform.
2.4 Privacy and Doxxing
Do not share another person's private or personal information without their consent (doxxing), and do not record and share private communications. Note that your own messages on the Platform are not private or end-to-end encrypted: Platform staff and the relevant Store may access your messages and order communications for moderation, support, safety, and dispute-resolution purposes (see Privacy Policy).
2.5 Reviews
When leaving reviews: be honest and accurate, focus on the transaction experience, and do not include personal attacks or false information. Reviews are published without prior moderation; we may remove reviews that break these guidelines.
3. Livestream Standards
3.1 For Hosts and Sellers
Expected behavior: maintain a professional and welcoming atmosphere; be polite and respectful to all viewers; respond to questions thoughtfully; represent products accurately.
Prohibited behavior: profanity or offensive language; alcohol or drug consumption on camera; smoking or vaping on camera, particularly near inventory; discriminatory or hateful speech; misleading or false claims about products; soliciting transactions outside the Platform; sharing personal contact information for off-platform dealings; reckless or dangerous behavior, including stunts, pranks, or activities that could reasonably cause physical injury; brandishing or unsafe handling of weapons or dangerous tools on camera; and livestreaming while operating a vehicle.
Allowed: mentioning social media accounts; non-alcoholic beverages on camera; music (you are responsible for holding the necessary rights).
3.2 For Viewers
When watching Shows: participate respectfully in chat, follow Show-specific rules set by the Host, do not disrupt the Show for other viewers, and respect Moderator decisions.
3.3 For Moderators
Moderators help maintain order during Shows. A Moderator must be at least 18 years old and must follow these Community Guidelines and the seller terms in Section 6 of the Terms of Service. The Seller who assigns a Moderator is accountable for that Moderator's conduct. Moderators must enforce rules fairly and consistently, use their powers appropriately, and not abuse their position. Moderator powers include blocking users from Shows, pinning messages, and responding to questions. Storefront Live may revoke a Moderator's privileges for abuse or policy violations.
3.4 Account Responsibility
Account holders are responsible for all activity on their account and during their Shows.
Guests and co-hosts. If you allow others to appear on your stream, you are responsible for their conduct, they must follow all Community Guidelines, and their violations may result in consequences for your account.
Employees and representatives. If others use your Store account, you are responsible for training them on Platform policies, and their violations are attributed to your account.
Account security. Do not share your login credentials, do not allow unauthorized users to access your account, and report any suspected unauthorized access immediately.
4. Seller Performance and Enforcement
Storefront Live maintains seller performance standards to ensure a quality experience for all users:
- Rating – maintain a 4.5-star rating or above;
- Shipping – ship orders within 3 business days of purchase; and
- Response time – respond to order-related inquiries within 24 hours.
Sellers who fall short are addressed through graduated enforcement — warnings, restrictions, suspension, and termination. Seller obligations and enforcement are described in Section 6 of the Terms of Service. We may move directly to suspension or termination for serious violations such as fraud or counterfeit sales.
5. Feature Abuse
Misuse of Platform features undermines trust and fairness. The following abusive behaviors are prohibited.
5.1 Auction Manipulation
- Shill bidding: bidding on your own items, coordinating fake bids, or using secondary accounts to inflate prices.
- Troll bidding: bidding with no intention to complete the purchase, or bidding to disrupt or harass.
- Bid manipulation: using multiple accounts, bots, or coordination to manipulate auction outcomes.
Auction manipulation may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any pending payouts.
5.2 Review Manipulation
- Fake reviews: reviewing your own products, paying for or trading reviews, or using multiple accounts.
- Review extortion: threatening negative reviews to obtain refunds, discounts, or other benefits.
- Retaliatory reviews: posting negative reviews in retaliation for disputes or feedback.
5.3 Return Abuse
- Fraudulent returns: claiming items were not received when they were, returning different items, damaging items and claiming they arrived damaged, or excessive frivolous returns.
- Wardrobing: purchasing items with the intent to use and return them.
5.4 Fee Avoidance
Attempting to avoid Platform fees — through off-platform transactions, underreporting transaction values, or other workarounds — is prohibited.
5.5 Report Abuse
Filing false or malicious reports against other users — including to harm a competitor, filing fraudulent DMCA claims, or making false accusations — is prohibited.
6. Username and Profile Standards
6.1 Username Requirements
Usernames must be appropriate for all audiences; not impersonate other users, brands, or public figures; not contain profanity, slurs, or offensive terms; not include personal contact information; and not be misleading about your identity or affiliation.
6.2 Profile Content
Profile photos and descriptions must be appropriate for all audiences; not contain nudity or explicit content; not include hate symbols or offensive imagery; not impersonate others; and not include unrelated spam or promotional content.
6.3 Store Names
Store names must accurately represent your business; not infringe on trademarks; not impersonate other Sellers or brands; be appropriate for all audiences; and not be misleading about what you sell.
6.4 Enforcement
Inappropriate usernames, profiles, or Store names will be flagged for review, required to be changed, or changed by Storefront Live if not corrected. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.
7. Prohibited Content and Items
The following content is prohibited on Storefront Live:
7.1 Harmful Content
Threats of violence; harassment or bullying; hate speech or discrimination; content promoting self-harm.
7.2 Inappropriate Content
Adult or sexually explicit content; graphic violence; content promoting illegal activities; content promoting drug or alcohol use.
7.3 Deceptive Content
False or misleading information; impersonation of others; fake reviews or ratings; spam or scam content.
7.4 Privacy Violations
Sharing others' personal information without consent; doxxing; recording and sharing private communications.
7.5 Prohibited and Recalled Items
Listing prohibited items, recalled products, or items that violate the regulated-category requirements set out in the Terms of Service is not permitted.
8. Prohibited Conduct
- Fraud and abuse: fraudulent purchases or sales, chargeback abuse, return fraud, account manipulation, and circumventing Platform fees.
- Harassment: repeatedly contacting someone after being asked to stop, targeting users, coordinated harassment, stalking, or intimidation.
- Manipulation: rating or review manipulation, fake accounts or sock puppets, artificially inflating metrics, and coordinated inauthentic behavior.
- Platform misuse: off-platform transactions, sharing account access, creating multiple accounts, and evading bans or restrictions.
9. Reporting Violations
9.1 How to Report
You can report chat messages, users, Shows, store messages, or store conversations through the in-app reporting tools or by contacting us at reachout@storefrontlive.com. You can also block users in chat and block store conversations. To report an order issue, select "Report a problem" on your order. Copyright-infringement complaints are handled under our Intellectual Property & DMCA Policy via our designated agent at copyright@storefrontlive.com.
9.2 What to Include
When reporting in the app, select a reason and optionally add a note describing the violation. Available evidence is obtained from Platform records. For reports by email, include the user involved (if applicable) and the date and time of the incident.
9.3 Confidentiality
Reports are reviewed confidentially. We do not disclose the reporter's identity to the reported user.
10. Enforcement
10.1 Review Process
All reports are reviewed by Storefront Live. We assess the severity of the violation, the user's history, the context, and the impact on other users.
10.2 Actions
Depending on severity, actions may range from a warning, to a temporary restriction, to suspension, to account termination.
10.3 Enforcement Transparency
Where appropriate, enforcement actions include clear communication of the reason (the specific violation and related policy), the impact (what you can and cannot do during the enforcement period), the duration (if temporary), and how to appeal where applicable. We generally provide advance notice for non-fraud suspensions to allow time to fulfill pending orders; fraud, safety, or other urgent situations may require immediate action.
10.4 Immediate Action
Fraud or illegal activity, severe harassment or threats, the sale of prohibited items, and repeated ban evasion may result in immediate account termination.
10.5 Appeals
Suspended users may submit one appeal by contacting reachout@storefrontlive.com with "Appeal" in the subject, their account information, and an explanation of why the action was incorrect. We aim to respond to appeals within 2 business days and to communicate a decision within 7–10 business days. Decisions are final.
11. Building a Positive Community
Beyond following these rules, we encourage you to help the community thrive — welcome new members, share what you know, give constructive feedback, celebrate others' successes, and report problems when you see them.
12. Changes to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as the Platform evolves. We will post the updated version on this page with a new effective date, and may also notify you by email.
