Intellectual Property & DMCA Policy

Version 1.0.0
Effective Date: October 5, 2026
Last Updated: October 5, 2026

1. Overview

Storefront Live respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users to do the same. This policy describes how we handle claims of intellectual property infringement, including copyright and trademark complaints under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

Note: copyright complaints vs. abuse reports. This policy and the designated copyright agent below are for copyright (and trademark) infringement complaints by rights holders. They are separate from the in-app reporting tools used to report abusive conduct, harassment, or unsafe or objectionable content, which are described in our Community Guidelines. If your concern is copyright or trademark infringement, use the procedures below; for conduct or content concerns, use the Community Guidelines reporting tools.

2. Prohibited Content

The following intellectual property violations are prohibited on Storefront Live:

2.1 Copyright Infringement

  • Listing or selling items that infringe copyrights
  • Using copyrighted images without authorization
  • Reproducing copyrighted content in listings or streams

2.2 Trademark Infringement

  • Counterfeit products bearing unauthorized trademarks
  • Listings that misuse brand names or logos
  • False claims of brand authorization or affiliation

2.3 Other IP Violations

  • Patent infringement
  • Trade secret misappropriation
  • Right of publicity violations

3. DMCA Notice Procedure

3.1 Filing a Copyright Complaint

If you believe content on Storefront Live infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA notice to our designated agent containing:

  1. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work: description or link to the original work;
  3. Identification of the infringing material: a description of, or a link to, where the infringing content appears on the Platform;
  4. Good faith statement: a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
  5. Accuracy statement: a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner; and
  6. Signature: your physical or electronic signature.

3.2 Designated Agent

DMCA notices should be sent to our designated copyright agent:

Copyright Agent, Storefront Live, Inc.
555 West 25th Street, Suite 2, New York, NY 10001
Email: copyright@storefrontlive.com

Storefront Live's designated agent is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory.

3.3 Notice Processing

Upon receipt of a valid DMCA notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content, notify the user who posted the content, and provide that user with information about filing a counter-notification.

4. Counter-Notification Procedure

4.1 Filing a Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to copyright@storefrontlive.com containing:

  1. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address;
  2. Identification of the removed material: a description of the content that was removed and where it appeared;
  3. Good faith statement: a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
  4. Consent to jurisdiction: a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, if outside the United States, the federal district court for the Southern District of New York), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original complaint; and
  5. Signature: your physical or electronic signature.

4.2 Counter-Notification Processing

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant, inform the complainant that the content may be restored in 10–14 business days, and, if the complainant does not notify us of a court action within 14 business days, we may restore the content.

5. Trademark Complaints

5.1 Filing a Trademark Complaint

If you believe a listing infringes your trademark, contact us at copyright@storefrontlive.com with:

  1. Your contact information: name, company, address, telephone number, and email;
  2. Trademark information: the trademark at issue, registration number (if applicable), and countries of registration;
  3. Identification of the infringing listing: a link to or description of the listing;
  4. Basis of complaint: an explanation of why you believe the listing infringes your trademark;
  5. Good faith statement: a statement that you have a good faith belief that the listing is not authorized;
  6. Authorization: confirmation that you are the trademark owner or authorized to act on their behalf; and
  7. Signature: your physical or electronic signature.

5.2 Trademark Complaint Processing

We review trademark complaints and may remove the listing, request additional information from either party, or decline to act if the complaint is insufficient or the use appears lawful.

6. Repeat Infringer Policy

6.1 Policy Statement

Storefront Live terminates the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion. A repeat infringer is generally a user who has been the subject of more than one valid infringement complaint, though we consider the full context of each case, including the severity and intent of the violations.

6.2 Typical Escalation

Enforcement is graduated and assessed case by case. A typical progression is:

  • First valid complaint – warning and removal of the infringing content;
  • Repeated valid complaints – temporary suspension and content removal; and
  • Continued infringement – permanent account termination.

This progression is illustrative, not a fixed entitlement. Depending on the circumstances, we may act sooner or later than this progression suggests (see Sections 6.3 and 6.4).

6.3 Considerations

When evaluating repeat infringement, we consider the nature and severity of the violations, whether counter-notifications were filed and successful, the user's overall account history, and whether violations appear intentional or inadvertent.

6.4 Severe Violations

For severe, willful, or blatant infringement, we may remove content, suspend, or terminate an account immediately — including on a first complaint — without prior warning or the escalation described in Section 6.2.

7. Brand Authorization

7.1 Seller Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to sell branded products, including that products are authentic and legally acquired, that they are authorized to resell where required, and that they comply with any brand distribution agreements.

7.2 Authorization Verification

Storefront Live may request proof of authorization for branded products. Failure to provide satisfactory documentation may result in listing removal.

7.3 Self-Certification

By listing branded products, Sellers certify that the products are authentic and not counterfeit, that they have the legal right to sell the products, and that listings accurately represent the products.

8. Counterfeit Policy

8.1 Zero Tolerance

Storefront Live has zero tolerance for counterfeit products. Selling counterfeit items results in immediate listing removal, account suspension or termination, forfeiture of pending payouts, and potential legal referral.

8.2 Reporting Counterfeits

To report suspected counterfeits:

  • Buyers: use the "Report a problem" feature on your order;
  • Rights holders: contact copyright@storefrontlive.com with documentation; and
  • General reports: email reachout@storefrontlive.com.

9. Music and Audio Content

9.1 Livestream Music

Sellers using music during livestreams are responsible for obtaining necessary licenses or permissions, using only royalty-free or licensed music, and complying with all applicable copyright laws.

9.2 Platform Position

Storefront Live does not provide music licenses for Seller streams. Any music played during a Seller's stream is the sole responsibility of the Seller.

10. User Content License

10.1 License Grant

By posting content on Storefront Live, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display your content for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

10.2 Ownership

You retain ownership of your content. This license does not transfer ownership to Storefront Live.

11. Good Faith Requirement

11.1 Abuse of Process

Filing false or fraudulent IP complaints is prohibited. Users who abuse the complaint process may face account suspension or termination and legal liability for damages.

11.2 Misrepresentation

Under the DMCA, knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney fees.
